Patna: Police recovered the body of a married man hanging from a tree in Belapasi village under Budhikapudi panchayat of Patna block in Keonjhar district Tuesday morning. The man has been identified as the 39-year-old Umesh Das of Adipur village under Raruan police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
Police officials informed that the deceased visited the house of his in-laws Sunday to participate in Laxmi puja rituals. He left the house Monday and remained untraceable since then. Police have lodged a case of suspected suicide though efforts are on to trace the exact cause of Umesh’s death.
Police have also sent body for post-mortem Tuesday and are waiting for the report. They are hoping that it will provide them some clues regarding the death of Umesh.
