The social media war between Sonu Nigam and T-Series honcho Bhushan Kumar is on as Kumar’s wife and director Divya Khosla Kumar has shared a new video against the singer. In the new video, Divya can be heard defending her husband and asking Sonu how many new talents has he supported. In the 11:50 minute video, Divya Khosla Kumar said that T-Series has given chance to many new talents.

She also said that her husband had been receiving death threats and she has been getting rape threats incessantly since Nigam’s video became public.

She said, “You (Sonu) are such a legend. How many people have you given a break to? No one.” Divya then pointed out that 97% people working in T-Series are outsiders, not industry kids.

Divya then said that it was T-Series who gave Sonu his first chance. She said, “He used to sing in Delhi’s Ramleela for Rs 5. It was there that Gulshan Kumar spotted him, recognised his talent and gave him a flight ticket to Mumbai.” She even called her cook Sheru on camera where he corroborates her story as he has been with the family since 1988.

She then talked about Sonu Nigam’s claims that Bhushan Kumar came to him asking him to do song Deewana, when T-Series was not doing well. Divya said, “When Gulshan Kumar was assassinated, Sonu Nigam left T-Series and joined another music company instead of helping Bhushan Kumar during T-Series’ trying times.” On Sonu’s claim that Bhushan asked for his help to save himself from gangster Abu Salem, she said, “Why would Bhushan come to you to save himself from Abu Salem? Did Sonu Nigam ji have relations with Abu Salem?” She demanded an investigation into the matter.

Proceeding to answer the #MeToo allegation against Bhushan Kumar, Divya Khosla Kumar said that all the allegations were fabricated and the police itself have said that they are baseless. She said that they decided to not press charges against women who allegedly falsely accused Bhushan. Divya added, “#MeToo is such an important campaign, but some people are using it to malign other’s image. I want to ask you, Sonu ji, what is #MeToo? Should I accuse you of #MeToo? Should I say you are a #MeToo rapist? Will you turn into a #MeToo rapist then?”

She said that they didn’t want to say anything but then Bhagavad Gita reminded her of her karma and inspired her to raise her voice against wrong and stand by the truth. Concluding his video, she said, “The war is on”.

Sonu Nigam had earlier shared a video, in which he accused Bhushan Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, T-Series of targeting the singer for saying that a bigger mafia works in the music industry.
