Udala: Police Sunday arrested a man for killing his stepbrother and nephew at Chanchunia village under Kaptipada police limits in Mayurbhanj district.
The accused has been identified as Sushil Hembram and his stepbrother as Ghanshyam Hembram. The identity of the nephew is yet to be ascertained.
Sources said, Sushil had a long-standing land dispute with Ghanshyam. Sushil’s nephew was working on his field Friday. Sushil reached there and they had a verbal duel. Later, Sushil slit his nephew’s throat with a sharp weapon and dumped the body in a nearby jungle.
After receiving a missing report from the family members, police started an investigation and zeroed in on Sushil. At first, he refused his involvement but later confessed to have killed his nephew Friday and his stepbrother four days before, police said.
