Bhubaneswar: Bidyashree Dash, wife of late social activist Aditya Dash, Wednesday allegedly attempted to commit suicide by consuming sleeping pills.
Family members of Bidyashree have admitted her to a leading government hospital in Cuttack in critical condition.
According to her family members, she consumed about 41 sleeping tablets. After consuming the sleeping pills she went live on Facebook and said that she was suffering from depression as she has been blamed for her husband’s death.
Notably, social activist and motivational speaker Aditya Dash’s mulitilated body was recovered by the GRP police on a railway track near Lingaraj Temple Road railway station in Bhubaneswar July 7. Later, GRP police investigation found the suicide note which was seized from Aditya’s house and confirmed that it was written by him.
After much furore, investigation of the case was handed over to Odisha Crime Branch which has already submitted a status report on the investigation.
