Bhubaneswar: A thunderstorm accompanied by hail and gusty surface winds is likely to occur in 17 districts of Odisha Monday between 9.20am and 1pm , the local weather office said.
The districts are Nuapada, Bargarh, Sonepur, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur and Malkangiri.
Denizens are advised to stay indoors or take shelter at safe places during this period.
“Latest doppler weather radar and satellite imageries indicate that thunderstorm accompanied by hail and gusty surface winds, their speed reaching 50 to 60 kmph, is likely to occur in (these) districts..” a Met bulletin said.
