Berhampur: A day after an HIV ve prisoner of Aska sub jail succumbed to his illness at MKCG Medical College and Hospital in here, another under-trial prisoner of Chhatrapur sub-jail also died while undergoing treatment in the same hospital following some health complications Sunday morning.
The deceased was identified as Sibaram Pradhan.
The jail authorities admitted Sibaram to Chhatrapur sub-divisional hospital after he complained of blood vomiting Saturday. Later, he was shifted to MKCG after there was no improvement in his health condition. However, he succumbed to the complications. Sibram had past records of health complications.
“After Sibaram complained of vomiting, he was immediately admitted to the hospital. However, he died while undergoing treatment,” said Chhatrapur sub-jail, Superintendent in-charge, Prafulla Kumar Kabi.
Meanwhile, his family alleged he was wrongly framed by the police.
Earlier, Sibaram was an under-trial prisoner from August 2, 2017 for his involvement in a Ganja racket.
