Hyderabad: Ramya Krishnan turns a year old Friday. She was seen portraying the character of ‘Rajamata Sivagami Devi’ in the film Baahubali, although she worked in many Hindi and Telugu films.

Ramya entered filmmaking at the age of just 13. She featured with Amitabh Bachchan and Govinda in David Dhawan’s 1998 film Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan.
In the same year, Ramya’s other film, Wajood was released. Nana Patekar and Madhuri Dixit were cast in the film. The bold kissing scene of Nana Patekar and Ramya in this film created a ruckus at the time as Ramya shot a bold kissing scene with a star older than her.
Ramya had a romance with Shahrukh Khan in the film Chahat. Pooja Bhatt was opposite Shahrukh in this film. The song Dil Ki Tanhai from the film was a super hit.

The film was directed by Thiagarajan Kumarraj. During the shooting of the film, because of director Kumararaja, Ramya had to take 37 takes in 2 days for a particular scene.
