The Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) here seemed to have created a record with regard to landing of chartered flights at the airport on a single day. Industrialists like Mukesh Ambani, KM Birla, Anil Agarwal, Karan Adani, Naveen Jindal and others arrived here to attend the Business Leadership Summit on the Day 2 of MIO Conclave. There were as many as 12 such non-scheduled flights and all of these were parked on the runway due to insufficient space in the Airport Bay, of course under strict vigil, sources said. BPIA director SC Hota said authorities are planning to construct eight more parking bays to facilitate flight operations in the airport.
