Shergarh: Police foiled a loot attempt by arresting three gangsters in a raid at the Shiva temple of Padmapur village under this block in Ganjam district Sunday night. Bombs and other weapons were seized from them.
Five bombs, two sharp weapons, a cycle chain, a torch and some other materials were seized. The gang was working on a plan for burglary at some houses.
The three were produced in a local court Monday. IIC Biswaranjan Nayak said the gang-members had several cases pending against them at various police stations.
