Models are dressed as distinctive elements and depict issues such as water pollution, air pollution, drugs, child abuse, racism, student suicides, perils of social media and freedom of speech among others. The work is a unique effort by the group to spread awareness about the aforementioned topics.

Shaswat Sarangi, creative director, Titled Lens, said, “This year, we had to choose some of the burning issues in people’s life. According to science, each and every person is creative in his or her own way. We, as a team, have joined our hands to portray the problems of our society in a creative way with solutions for a better future.”

“Our society faces many issues today. However, these problems are created by us. We deal with these perils on a regular basis. From environmental and health issues to psychological ones, there is no end to it. We have tried depicting the issues in pictorial form as it is believed that messages are conveyed in a deeper sense through pictures. It’s time that we not only talk about our issues but also take steps to eradicate them,” he said.

The calendar is created according to Odia year where April is the first month.  Describing some of the issues, he said, “Plastic items doesn’t look good anywhere, neither in your hands, nor in your character. Be cautious as the day is not too far when we’ll get chocked within it and cry for a better environment.”

On the theme of air pollution, he said, “Untouched greenery is more attractive than the man-made world. However, we have to let the plants survive so that we do not have to pay for our share of breath.”

The issue of student suicides was also depicted in the calendar. Aman Agarwal, mentor of the group, said, “Knowledge cannot come at the expense of life, for life itself is a great source of knowledge. If it comes at the cost of one’s life, then probably it isn’t knowledge.”

Models and actors of the Odia film industry have featured in the calendar. Priyanka Mohapatra, Akhilesh Kumar Das, Priranjan Satpathy, Sanmanita Das, Ayushi Jena, Sanghamita Parida, Ayushi Reddy, Ipsita Das, Samarpita Dash, Ankita Mohanty, Nidhi Dubey, Jyotirmayee Mohanty, Ankita Mishra and Samapika Rout have all given the effort a short in the arm by their vivid expressions. The group had launched its first social-themed calendar in 2015.
