Nayagarh: Tension prevailed high in a government-run residential school at Buguda under Daspalla block in this district following the death of a Class-VI girl student late Monday night.
The deceased has been identified as Sunita Jani.
The school authorities alleged the girl was suffering from illness since the past eight days. Later, she breathed her last this morning. However, her family members levelled allegation of negligence in providing proper treatment to Sunita.
Accusing the school authorities of negligence, the deceased girl’s family members staged a protest by placing the dead body in front of the school. Besides, they have also lodged a complaint with Daspalla police against the school authorities.
The bereaved family of the minor girl has demanded strict action against the school authorities. Meanwhile, locals also demanded compensation to the girl’s family for the loss.
