Bhubaneswar, July 1: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik felicitated ‘Super-30’ students who qualified in the JEE-Advanced 2016 at Soochana Bhawan, Friday. Odisha Mining Corporation (OMC) had introduced the ‘Super-30’ concept.
The CM congratulated the students for their achievement and the OMC for introducing the concept. “Super-30 is a unique platform which facilitates students from the economically weaker families of the state to equip themselves through proper coaching and orientation to compete with other students in the country and come out successful in JEE,” he said.
Patnaik highlighted the benefits of Kalinga Sikshya Sathi Yojna — a scheme which is to provide higher education loan at one per cent interest per annum to students belonging to lower and middle class families.
The students were given letters of appreciation. Orissa Skill Development Authority Chairman Subroto Bagchi, Food Security and Consumer Welfare, Skill Development and Technical Education Minister Sanjay Das Burma, Higher Education Minister Pradeep Panigrahi and Steel and Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick participated in the event.
