Berhampur: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik Saturday joined a video conference to bless a newlywed HIV positive couple at Gopalpur in Ganjam district.
It is for the first time that the CM was seen attending a video conference to bless a newly-married couple.
While extending his best wishes, the CM also talked to the HIV positive couple.
Ravindra and Padma are presently working in Hyderabad. Earlier, they used to stay at Gopalpur Shraddha Sanjivani Daycare Home in Ganjam district.
The district administration solemnized their marriage at the same daycare home. District Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange attended the event as the bride’s father and performed the kanyadan rituals. He also offered the couple a cheque.
Other officials and staff of the daycare home also attended the event and blessed the couple.
