Angul: A team of doctors at a private nursing home in this district successfully conducted a surgery to bring out a fish which had got stuck inside the throat of a class 10 student.
According to information available, Saubhagya along with his friends were fishing at a pond in Kuio village of this district, Wednesday. Out of the blue, a medium-sized fish jumped out of the water and entered his mouth before getting stuck in Saubhagya’s throat. It cause acute pain and discomfort to the youngster who found it difficult to breathe.
Saubhagya was immediately rushed to Angul district headquarters hospital (DHH). But doctors there expressed their inability to extricate the fish.
Saubhagya’s family members then sought the help of social activist Parshuram Das. With his help, they got Saubhagya admitted at a private nursing home. There the doctors conducted the surgery successfully and got the fish stuck inside the larynx of Saubhagya. His condition is now stable, nursing home sources said.
