Bhubaneswar: The police took a drunken woman and her daughter to the station after the duo had a verbal duel near Jayadev Vihar square here Saturday night.
According to reports, the mother and daughter along with a youngster were heading towards Jayadev Vihar in a car.
After stopping the car in the middle of the road, the woman and daughter came out of the vehicle and hurled abuses at each other and later exchanged fisticuffs.
On being informed, police reached the spot and tried to calm the duo. But the mother and daughter grabbed a policeman by his collar and attacked him.
Later, more policemen reached the spot in a PCR van only to find the woman and daughter locked themselves inside the car.
The women police personnel had a harrowing time to get them out of the vehicle. However, with the help of two transgenders, they have been taken to the police station.
