Sakhigopal: Eight persons were injured as their vehicle and a truck were involved in an accident at Kadua Square here in Puri in the wee hours Sunday.
The injured passengers were treated at the local hospital. They were Kailash Jena, Prafulla Jena, Asanti Jena, Basanti Jena, Tulasi Jena, Prabhat Jena, Babuli Jena and Pragyan Paramita Jena.
It was stated that a group of villagers of Ramchandrapur in Keonjhar district were on their way to Puri for Jagannath darshan in a Tata Winger. At Kadua square, the truck hit the other vehicle from the rear, police said.
