The registration for KBC, (Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 11) hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan started May 1. The game show is adapted from British TV show ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?’ India’s own version, the KBC was first televised in 2000.

‘Big B’ has hosted seven seasons of the show so far and this will be his eighth appearance. The show will be aired from August this year.

If you want to get to the hot seat and be in front of the legendary Big B, here’s what you have to do in six steps.

Know what the steps are…

Step 1

Like every season Amitabh Bachchan will ask a series of viewers’ questions during the promotion of the event. To attempt these questions you have to register first. There are four different ways of registering. Viewers can register themselves online by logging on to the ‘Sonyliv’ app and filling up a form, or off line by IVR, SMS etc.

After successful registration, you will get a message from the KBC team and a message once you are selected.

Step 2

This will be for those who correctly answer questions over the phone. It will be made to approximately 9,900 people by a particular call centre. The tele-caller will ask the registered participant a question and whether he/she is willing to participate or not. The fate of the participant will depend on whether he/she can correctly answer the question or not.

Step 3

After successful completion of the second step, the participant will be asked to furnish four passport size colour photographs, PAN card, birth certificate, passport and other official documents. He/she will also have to nominate someone for the ‘Phone a Friend’ lifeline. The friend’s official documents will also have to be furnished.

Step 4

In this segment the candidate will have to go through two rounds of entrance tests – written and video. Candidates who pass this examination will go ahead in the show.

Step 5

After passing the entrance test, the candidate will have to face a three-member panel for a personal interview. If they are satisfied, the candidate will qualify for the ‘Fastest Finger’ round.

Step 6

This is the final hurdle. You answer the question asked correctly and the fastest to go to the hot seat to face Big B.

The promos for Season 11 are out in which the veteran actor can be seen encouraging people to participate by announcing the registration date.

Agar koshish rakhoge jaari, toh KBC Hot Seat par baithne ki iss baar aapki hogi baari! 1 May se shuru ho rahe hain #KBC ke registrations. Adhik jaanakaari ke liye bane rahen. @SrBachchan pic.twitter.com/lkV66j0MGD
