Fuel transportation hit across the state

Paradip: Fuel transportation from terminals of the Bharat Petroleum to oil depots and pumping stations across the state remains paralysed due to a strike by oil tanker operators in the last two days.

They are demanding a fare hike.

“Each day we make more than 200 trips of petrol and 250 of diesel from the BPCL terminal. We are getting just Rs 2.30 per km. Other terminals are paying more. They have hiked the fares, but the BPCL is yet to do this,” a member of the oil tanker owners’ association said.
