Bhubaneswar: Education is not just about personal success.

It is a lifelong responsibility to enlighten and transform society, said Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati, Thursday appealing Utkal University (UU) alumnus to treat education as a collective responsibility and build a compassionate society.

Kambhampati joined as the chief guest at the fifth annual function of the Utkal University Alumni Association at MKCG Auditorium.

He called upon the alumni association to go beyond supporting the University’s growth and emerge as a force for positive change in the wider world.

Kambhampati described Utkal University as a “radiant beacon of knowledge” that has shaped leaders in politics, governance, science, education, literature, law, culture, business, and public life for over eight decades.

“The achievements of its alumni are a testament to the greatness of the institution, with each alumnus serving as an ambassador of its values across the state, nation, and beyond,” he said.
