Kendrapara: There is no substitute for hard work. This has been re-established once again by Sparshamani Sahoo, a 14-year-old girl, the daughter of a grocery shop owner, who secured the highest mark in Matric examination in Kendrapara district.
The result published Monday revealed that the daughter of Mamatamanjari and Pradeep Kumar Sahoo of Choudakulat under Pattamuindai block has got 578 out of 600 (96.33 per cent) marks and secured A1 grade in the examination. “There is no shortcut to success.
If you have got strong will power nothing can stop you”, said Sparshamani dedicating her success to the Almighty, the family members and the teachers of Jagannath Vidyapitha.
She had to work for about 10 hours a day before appearing the examination, she further said.
Sparshamani now aims to become an IAS officer to serve the country with honesty, it was learnt.
“We are proud of Sparshamani as she has now become an example for several rural students.” said Rina Mallick, the headmistress of the school.
