Balasore: Some members of a marriage party Friday night misbehaved with some women tourists travelling by bus in Soro area in the district, sparking tension.
While a marriage procession of the groom was heading for the event, the tourist bus was passing by. Trouble erupted after three members from the groom’s side refused to give side to the bus.
A heated argument took place between the tourists in the bus and members of the marriage party. Amid this, some youths from the marriage procession entered the bus and “misbehaved” with women passengers. “They hurled abusive words and beat the women up,” as per a police complaint.
Four women passengers were injured and rushed to a nearby hospital. Police initiated a probe.
