Laws are in place to make sure society continues to run smoothly. Sometimes though, laws can get a bit out of hand, weird even. Just think what will happen if there would be no law? Today we are going to tell you about the laws of some countries which may astonish you.

There is a country in East Africa where you cannot go on jogs although it is said that jogging is good but in Burundi, in 2014, the President put a ban in it citing that people are using it for anti-social activities.
While in 2004, chewing gum was banned in Singapore. The reason behind this ruling was that gums were difficult to clean. In such a situation, there was a complete ban on eating and evening bringing it to public events.
North Korea’s Kim Jong-un has made a law according to which one cannot wear blue jeans in the county. It is completely prohibited. It was argued that this step has been taken to protect against the influence of Western culture.
In Oklahoma, you can be jailed for making an ugly face at a dog.
In Samoa, it is illegal to forget your wife’s birthday.
By this one can guess that still such strange laws exist in the world.
