The notification for JEE Main 2024 might get released in November 2023. The JEE Main exam is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is organised twice a year in the month of January & July. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main is a national level engineering entrance exam. It is held for admission into B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Plan/ B.Arch at NITs, IIT’s, CFTI’s & various universities/ institutions.
Merge JEE Main with CUET?
No, as per the UGC Chairman, there are no such plans yet.
As per latest reports, authorities have shared an idea to merge NEET & JEE Main with CUET but there is no immediate plan to share engineering & medical entrances with Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The decision for same will be announced two years in advance, the UGC Chairman said.
Is GCET exam merged with JEE Main 2024?
Yes, GCET is scrapped. From year 2024, JEE Main scores will be considered for Engineering admission in Goa.
“Since, two JEE Main exams are held now, students aspiring for engineering seats were left answering too many exams, like two different JEE Mains & GCET. So, it was decided to discontinue GCET, and students will be admitted to state engineering college seats based on their JEE Main scores from 2024,“ said Education Secretory Prasad Lolayekar.
Some Eligibility Norms for JEE Main 2024?
Students are advised to check some general eligibility norms as per last year norms. Any new changes will be updated once updated officially.
- To be eligible, one must have qualified 12th level examination from any recognised university.
- There will be no age limit & attempt limit for JEE Main.
- Candidates appearing in 10+2 in year 2024, will be also eligible for JEE Main 2024.
