Kakatpur: A team led by Nimapara SDPO Niranjan Padhi conducted a raid on liquor dens near the Kakatpur medical square and seized huge quantities of country liquor Thursday. Four persons were arrested and Rs 20,000 in cash as also liquor stocks seized from their possession.
The accused illegally prepared country liquor and sold them at premium rates at Konark, Gop, Nimapara and Astarang areas. The raids were held simultaneously.
The arrested were remanded to judicial custody after a court rejected their bail pleas, the SDPO said.
