Puri: Lord Jagannath’s chariot, Nandighosha, resumed its journey on Friday morning after remaining stationary Thursday. The Grand Road reverberated with the sounds of gongs and conches as the Rath Yatra procession continued, with lakhs of devotees thronging the route to witness the divine spectacle.
On Thursday, Lord Balabhadra’s Taladhwaja chariot halted at Market Chhak, while Devi Subhadra’s Darpadalana stopped at Marchikote Chhak. Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosha also came to a halt after covering only a short distance, bringing the day’s chariot procession to a close.
