Balasore: Police Sunday claimed to have cracked the July 8 OT Road firing case at a newly-opened hotel by arresting the main accused from neighbouring Chhattisgarh.
The accused Jajan Panigrahi was arrested after a series of raids that have been conducted after the incident.
A group of unidentified men came on a bike and started firing at the hotel July 8. Nobody was hurt in the firing that took place at 8 pm. However, some of the glass panes in the hotel got damaged.
Sudarshan Pradhan, manager of Hotel Zaika International, said an unidentified person had
called him up at 11 am on the day of the incident and demanded an unspecified amount of protection money for the new hotel.
