Keonjhar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi arrived on a one-day visit to Keonjhar district and landed at Raisuan Airstrip Tuesday in a special aircraft. At the airstrip, he was given a guard of honour by the district administration. Party workers, leaders and well-wishers welcomed him with flowers and bouquets.
Later, he visited Jhumpura by road and participated in the Durga Puja festival in the area by taking part in the rituals and in the ‘Yagnya’ in the puja mandaps. Later, CM Majhi went to his native village Raikal, where the villagers gave him a grand welcome as he interacted with them and their family members.
From there, he left for Keonjhar and visited the Durga puja pandals at Puruna Bazar, Raspuja Market and Jagnnathpur Sahi amid the grand welcome by the puja committees. He also held discussions with the committee members on various issues. From there, the CM went to the Circuit House and took rest. Later, at night, he joined the “Dandia dance” programme organised by the Gujarati Samaj at the local Gujarat Bhawan.
