Jajpur: The bodies of a man and his wife were found hanging under mysterious circumstances Saturday morning at Jugala village under Korei police limits in Jajpur district, an official source informed.
According to an official from Korei police station, the deceased were identified as Santanu Jena and his wife as Sabita. The woman was seen hanging inside their house and the man was spotted hanging from a tree near the courtyard, the police official added.

An altercation erupted between the husband and wife Friday night after they had dinner. Later they went to sleep, but were mysteriously found dead in the morning, elder members of Santanu’s family said.
On the other hand, Sabita’s family members alleged that since she had not conceived even after five years of marriage, the husband and wife were murdered by her in-laws.
