Nuapada: Panic gripped Boden area in this district after Maoist posters were found pasted at different places Sunday morning. Released the previous night, they bore the name of the Mainapur-Nuapada division unit of the Maoists.
The posters were found mainly in Kerapadar and Farasara villages.
The posters had inscriptions from the ultras urging the locals to join hands with them in their fight against police atrocities.
“Police atrocities and violence against innocent people, particularly tribals, are growing day by day. This will not be tolerated any more. The people should be aware of these inhumane activities of the police and come forward to oppose them,” the poster read.
Police reached the villagers and seized the posters. Patrolling was intensified in the area to check the movements of the Red rebels.
