Minor boy reunites with mother after a year

Odagaon: In a heartrending re-union, a minor boy separated from his biological mother was reunited to her after a year. The joy of the mother and son knew no bounds after the re-union. The incident was reported from Bahadajhola panchayat in Nayagarh district.

According to police, Puspha Sahu, daughter of Anand Sahu, had been married to Premanand Sahu of Senteri village. The family was filled with happiness after a baby boy was born to the couple. Unfortunately, their happiness did not last for long. Premanand died in an accident. Since then Pusha was worried as to how she would raise her son. Luckily, she got a compensation of Rs 7lakh from an insurance company over her husband’s death.

This, however, created a rift between Pushpa and her in-laws. The in-laws wanted to appropriate the amount for themselves. They allegedly tortured Pushpa when she did not give them the money and instead kept it safe for the future of her son.

Infuriated, her father-in-law threw her out of his house and separated her from her son. Despite repeated pleas, Pushpa’s in-laws did not allow her to meet her son.

Pushpa approached the local police and lodged a written complaint.

With the intervention of the police, the boy was rescued and handed over to his mother. By now, the boy has grown up to a five-year-old kid. “I will take care of my son and work hard for his future,” Pushpa said as tears rolled down her cheeks.
