Anandpur: In a heart-wrenching incident, a minor boy died after drowning in a river in Keonjhar district on the occasion of Kartika Purnima Friday morning.
The deceased was identified as Subham Rout, son of Chittaranjan Rout of Nuagarh village under Ghasipura police limits.
According to reports, Subham along with his family members had gone to Kushei river for taking holy dip and sailing miniature boats when he accidentally slipped into deep waters and drowned.
After an hour long search operation, locals and fire personnel traced him and took him to Anandpur sub-divisional hospital, where the doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
