Bhubaneswar: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) started the ‘Newspaper on Wheels’ initiative in the Mo buses, Sunday, where riders will be provided with copies of newspaper while they commute in Mo buses.
In the initial phase, a newspaper daily will be available in ac buses. “We are taking this initiative to encourage, propagate and develop a reading habit among the daily commuters.
The service will specially benefit those who take a bus ride in the morning. We aim to cover as many travellers as possible,” said Dipti Mahapatro, General Manager, Personnel and Administration & spokesperson, CRUT.
This facility will be added to all buses in the coming days and people will get to read Oriya newspapers as well. CRUT is also contemplating to start mobile libraries in Mo Buses soon.
