New Delhi: In an effort to promote Oriya music and art outside Orissa, Institute for Promotion and Research on Odisha Culture and Heritage (IPROCH) is organizing a three days Light Oriya Music Festival 2015 from April 24 to 26 at Sirifort Auditorium here.
The festival will showcase the best of light Oriya music, with all its grand heritage and ever-lasting melody. In the festival the audience will get to experience music, in which the contemporary blends with innovative demonstration of the art form.
“We invite young talents as well as established artists to perform in this festival. It not only will help connect Oriya Diaspora but also popularise our rich culture and heritage among non-Oriyas,” said Biswajit Das, Secretary, IPROCH
The event will be attended by leading music personalities and singers of national and international repute. Apart from thousand of Oriyas, music connoisseur, critics and music lovers will attend this event.
Eminent Oriya singers who would perform in this festival include Rituraj Mohanty, Trupti Das, Tansen Singh, Ira Mohanty, T Sauri, Tapu Mishra, Sohini Mishra, Abhijit Mishra, Antara Chakraborty, Sushmita Das, Om Prakash Mohanty and Biswa Mohan Kabi.
