Dhenkanal: Tension gripped the Dhenkanal district headquarters hospital (DHH) premises after a body had to be taken on a trolley due to unavailability of an ambulance under Mahaparayan scheme here in this district.
According to sources, Trilochan Das (60) of Sanjay colony under municipality ward-21 died while undergoing treatment in the DHH. Failing to get an ambulance, family members had to hire a trolley and take the body 3km through the town to their street for the final rites.
When contacted, CDMO Basudev Behera said that he came to know of the incident of late and assured to take a probe.
