Cuttack: Odisha Vigilance Saturday arrested Kishore Sahani, a senior assistant of City Hospital in Cuttack, on the charge of possessing disproportionate assets to his known sources of income.

During a search operation, vigilance officials reportedly unearthed two buildings, 19 high-value plots, Rs 3.30 lakh in cash, 135 grams of gold, and deposits exceeding Rs 55.48 lakh in the possession of Sahani and his family members. He was also found to own household articles worth about Rs 11 lakh and a poultry farm spread over nearly 2.5 acres at Palasia/Padhania in Choudwar, Cuttack.

As Sahani failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for the assets, he was arrested and forwarded to the Court of Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack.
