Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of IMD in Bhubaneswar in its weather alert of July 10 issued Yellow Warning for thunderstorms and rainfall in several districts of Odisha.
Upto 8.30 AM of July 11: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts.
In the same timeframe, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of south interior Odisha, Gajapati, Ganjam and at a few places over the remaining districts of the state.
From 8.30 AM of July 11 to 8.30 AM of July 12: As per the Yellow Warning (be updated), heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at one or two places over Koraput, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Gajapati and Kandhamal districts.
Also as per the Yellow Warning (be updated), thunderstorm with lightning is very likely to occur at one or two places over Subarnapur, Boudh, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Gajapati, Ganjam, Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh and Keonjhar districts.
In the same time frame, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places over the districts of south Odisha and at a few places over the districts of north Odisha.
In Bhubaneswar, for the next 24 hours, a partly cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershower is predicted by IMD. Maximum and minimum temperatures are very likely to be around 37 degree Celsius and 27 degree Celsius respectively.
In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 36.4 degree Celsius was recorded at Paralakhemundi while the lowest minimum temperature of 23.0 degree Celsius was recorded at Boudh, the bulletin informed.
