Odisha weather update: Heavy rain shuts schools across five districts

Bhubaneswar: Schools were closed in five Odisha districts Saturday as persistent heavy rain disrupted normal activities, following an assessment of the weather situation.

District administrations in Kataka, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur and Nuapada announced school closures for the day in view of the rainfall and prevailing conditions. In Bhadrak, the administration closed 399 schools across seven blocks.
