Malkangiri: An elderly man died while his grandson sustained severe injuries after they were stung by a swarm of honeybees at Barangbadi village under Machhkund police limits in Malkangiri district Tuesday. According to sources, the elderly man along with his grandson had gone to a nearby forest to graze cattle when they were stung by the honeybees. They were rescued by locals and rushed to a hospital where the elderly man died during treatment. His grandson, who is undergoing treatment at the hospital, is in a critical condition, said sources. The identity of the deceased could not be ascertained till the last report came in.
