Anahad joined Arre as an intern after completing MA in MCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Says he, “I was doing food review stories in the beginning when Sharan Saikumar, the editor for Arre, told me to develop a Hindi version of the spoof of films, in a style imitating Piyush Mishra. I was doing mimicry of Piyush Mishra while in college. I was pitching an IPL script in the voice of Piyush Mishra when the Half Girlfriend trailer came out. I was asked to do the Hindi script of the spoof in Mishra’s voice. We then decided to name the videos as Fitoor Mishra.” At the beginning, many thought that Piyush Mishra was doing the review. His mimicry was so interesting that even Piyush Mishra himself came on board and appreciated his work.
Other actors such as Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Vikrant Massey, Huma Qureshi and directors like Abhishek Chaubey and Habib Faisal have also appreciated what he had done, says Anahad. Anahad used to visit his grandmother regularly and has memories about the state, the temples, the beaches, the Pakhala, the Konkoda and the Chinguri. “I was busy with my work and this stopped me from visiting Orissa. Earlier, I and my parents used to visit my grandmother’s house every year,” he says. Piyush also writes content for web channels. He has plans to make more spoof videos in the coming days. His upbringing in New Delhi and his studies in Islamia University had helped him immensely in the making of the spoof videos, he says.
