Bhubaneswar: Akshay Kumar also known as DJ Azex was on a mobile phone conversation with his rumoured girlfriend right before his death, a source said Thursday.
Reportedly, Azex’s last phone call lasted nearly 97 seconds. Later, his girlfriend tried to call him back, but he did not answer.
Meanwhile, a cyber team of Commissionerate Police scrutinised all the digital tools – emails, social media accounts, laptop, and mobile phone — used by Azex as part of the investigation.
Previously, a few pictures of Azex went viral after his death in which he seemed to be crying and appeared stressed.
According to the source, those pictures were sent by Azex to his rumoured girlfriend through an email before his death. In the email, he had allegedly written that he was under severe stress and was unable to sleep. He had even mentioned that he was taking sleeping pills.
Notably, Bhubaneswar Zone-1 ACP Manas Gadnayak March 19 said that their preliminary investigation suggests the DJ died by suicide.
Azex was found dead March 19 at his Bhubaneswar residence under mysterious circumstances. The deceased’s family members and friends accused his rumoured girlfriend of extortion and mental harassment that led to his death.
