Kendrapara: A retired postal employee of Garajanga village in Marshaghai block of the district died Wednesday after he was struck by a lightning.
Police said, Sarat Chandra Mohanty was plucking flowers near his house when the lightning struck him.
He was immediately rushed to the district head quarter hospital where the doctor declared him received dead.
Police recovered the body and sent it for autopsy.
