Revellers warned not to go deep into sea

Puri: The low pressure formed over northwest Bay of Bengal has made the sea turbulent here Sunday.

The Met department sources said a wave measuring at least one-metre-high is coming ashore at every six seconds.

With the beach swarming with thousands of tourists, the fire department has warned revellers against going deep into the sea through a public address system.

Despite the heavy downpour, tourists in large number have turned up on the beach.
