Jajpur: Self-confidence is the key to success, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi told students while attending the platinum jubilee celebration of PM SHRI NC Government High School in Jajpur Saturday.
Terming the occasion as historic, the CM said that since its establishment in 1945, the school has played a vital role in shaping a generation of responsible citizens and has become a strong pillar of education in the district.
He said that the institution has created a golden chapter in the educational landscape of the region. Expressing satisfaction over the inclusion of the school in the PM SHRI Yojana, the CM said that it is being developed as a model institution with modern infrastructure, digital classrooms and smart learning facilities. He said that this school will emerge as a model of quality education with modern facilities and will focus on holistic development.
Emphasising on the overall development of students, the CM said that the purpose of education is not just to score marks or create jobs, it is to build the character of the children and teach them various life skills. Referring to the NEP 2020, he said that there is a need to focus on the creativity, efficiency, decision-making ability and problem-solving skills of the children. “Self-confidence is the key to success,” the CM said and urged the students to dream big and adopt duty, dedication, and determination as their philosophy of life.
As the matriculation exams are approaching, the CM conveyed his best wishes to the students and advised them to prepare with patience. He told the students that success requires continuous effort and failure should be considered as a stepping stone to success. Reiterating the government’s commitment to strengthening the education system, the CM highlighted that the state has given priority to education with the highest budgetary allocation.
Assuring students and parents of the government’s continued support, the CM said that building a prosperous Odisha depends on providing quality education and opportunities to its children. He asserted, “A prosperous Odisha will be built by our children.”
