Keonjhar: Vigilance sleuths Wednesday arrested a senior pharmacist of OMC Dispensary at Gandhamardan in the district, Lina Priyadarshani, on a charge of demanding a bribe of Rs 10,000. She allegedly demanded a bribe for arranging bulk purchase of medicines of a particular brand for the hospital’s dispensary from one Rajesh Kumar Behera.
Based on a complaint from Behera, Vigilance officials laid a trap to catch her red-handed. As per the plan, Behera took with him a bunch of chemical-laced notes and handed this over to Lina. In no time, Vigilance sleuths disguised in plainclothes came in and effected the seizure. The officials immediately put Lina under arrest.
Simultaneous raids were held at her residence and other places to check her financial status and know how much money she had made so far.
