Sehwag shared a memory, during a match in Pakistan, Shoaib Akhtar was provoking him by saying to hit hook with his bouncer ball. When Shoaib repeated the same line again and again then, Sehwag came to him and said ‘the man (Sachin) who is standing at non-striking end is your father, say this line to him, he will surely hit six in your ball’. In next over, when Shoaib gave bouncer to Sachin then he hit 6 in this ball, then Sehwag went near Shoaib and said ‘beta beta hota hai baap baap’ (son is son and father is father).
When he hit six on the ball of Mustaq
During a match against Pakistan in Mustaq, Sehwag was playing at 294 runs. At that moment he said to Sachin that if Mustaq comes in this over then I’ will hit six in his first ball. And the same has happened. This was the first match of India where an Indian cricketer hit triplet century in any match.
When his father didn’t allow him to play cricket
Father of Virender Sehwag, asked him to not play cricket any more when his teeth broken down during a match. However, her mother convinced his father to let him play cricket afterwards.
