Bhubaneswar: Star sprinter Dutee Chand received the Chanakya Samman at a function in Jayadev Bhavan in Bhubaneswar Friday.
She has been honoured during the annual day celebration of Chanakya Public School here.
Senior journalist Pradosh Patnaik, cine critic Dillip Halli, actor Papu Pompom and director of the institution Elora Mohanty showered praises in the function.
Students of the institution’s Saheed Nagar and Malipada branches were also felicitated on this occasion. While the meeting was presided by chairman of the institution Jyoti Mohanty, principals of Malipada branch and Saheednagar branch Rabinarayan Pradhan and Truptimayee Acharya respectively spoke about the achievements and future endeavours at the function.
The evening concluded with a presentation by the students.
