Bhubaneswar: Avengers: Infinity War of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has broken all records since its release on April 27. The popular superhero franchise which is set to return again next year with the fourth Avengers movie has garnered a huge fan following all over the world, including the capital city.
For those fans there’s a place in Bhubaneswar where they can live in the presence of their Marvel characters. They can flaunt their Avengers love at a city restaurant which is a Marvel superheroes themed café, located at the DLF Cyber City in Patia area.

The restaurant is named after the popular character of MCU movies Tony Stark-Stark Bistro. The interior has been designed in such a way as to fit the MCU superhero theme.
It was started in February this year by Bikram Kumar who said that he is a big fan of superhero comics especially Marvel and he has always wanted to start a restaurant on this theme. He opened a restaurant in Cuttack last year without much success. Then he moved to the capital city.
He said that at first people were not interested but after the success of the Avengers Infinity War movie, the footfall has increased a lot. The place is filled with giant size posters of Marvel superheroes such as Iron Man, Thor and Hulk.
The food items have different names based on the characters. For example, Hulk Thirster, Gamora Pasta, Star Lord Pizza, Xarvis Water Melon, Stan Lee Lasagne and Iron Man special element Alfredo Pasta are some of the dishes diners and lovers of those movies can enjoy.

They also screen the Marvel movies starting from Iron Man and other films that had been released in the last ten years for the visitors at the café. They have even hosted a quiz on Marvel, also known as Marvel Symposium for the visitors. We have special Marvel souvenirs like Iron Man helmet, Thor Hammer which people wore and clicked photos. The movie is very popular among the fans for its multifaceted characters, story and production values, said Kumar. My favourite superhero character is Tony Stark played wonderfully by actor Robert Downey Jr in the movie, and that is the reason why I have given the name Stark Bistro to the restaurant.
Sunanda Priyadasini who had celebrated her birthday at the Marvel theme restaurant, said that “It’s the first-of-its-kind restaurant in the city based on the superheroes. My favourite character in the movie is Captain America, played by Chris Evans,” said Sunanda.
The movie is very exciting for me; it’s full of action. It’s great that we will now be able to enjoy the movies in a different style- sitting at this place with friends and gorging on some yummy wraps and rolls,” Simmy De, a local, said.
