Deepika Padukone:
She is among the highest paid actresses in Indian movie industry. Originally born in Denmark’s Copenhagen, Deepika’s family shifted to Bangalore when Deepika was one year old. She has been living here ever since. Famous athlete Prakash Padukone’s daughter, she started her career with badminton and then took on modeling. Today, she is an internationally acclaimed name. She is the also the recipient of several awards, including three Filmfares. Besides, she has been featured among the nation’s most popular personalities and was among the 100 most influential people in the world in 2018.

Another stunning actress Katrina Kaif too was not born in India. Katrina is actually a British model and actress. Born in Hong Kong, Kaif and her family lived in several countries before she moved to London. Her real name is Katrina Turquotte, and she has been active in this industry for nearly a decade. Initially Katrina faced difficulty due to language barriers, but now she has been quite comfortable in it.
Jacqueline Fernandez:
Jacqueline Fernandez is a Sri Lankan citizen. A former fashion model and the winner of the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant of 2006, she debuted with Aladin in 2009 opposite Amitabh Bachchan and has been a household name ever since.
Alia Bhatt:
You may be surprised to know that Alia Bhatt, who rules millions of hearts across the country, is actually British born. Her mother Soni Razdan is of Kashmiri and German ancestry while father Mahesh Bhatt is of Gujarati origin. Recently her film ‘Gully Boy’ was appreciated by the movie-goers and the critics alike apart from setting box office on fire.
Nargis Fakhri:
Actress Nargis Fakhri, who has worked in films such as ‘Rockstar’, ‘Madras Cafe’ and ‘Phata Poster Nikla Hero’, is actually an American actress but of Pakistani ancestry. Her father was from Pakistan but migrated to the United States in search of work. Nargis was born in the US. She started her career as a model at the age of 16. In her later years, she appeared as a contestant on the second and third cycle of America’s Next Top Model (2004). Now she is well established in this industry.
