Two arrested; liquor seized

Cuttack Sadar: Kishorenagar police seized 210 litres of country liquor being transported in a car and arrested two persons in this connection from Cuttack-Paradip road near Ramkumarpur Monday evening. The accused – Anand Behera, 22, and Akhil Behera, 42 – belonging to Tigiria police station limits were sent to court Tuesday. The duo was caught while inspector in-charge Bamdev Swain and assistant sub-inspector Narayan Mallick were conducting routine inspection of vehicles for election. The police seized the car (OR 05 AR 9797) and registered a case (36/19) in this regard.
