Bhubaneswar: Odia cinema is ready to captivate audiences with not one, but two exciting releases. Bara Badhu and Rakta Golapa are all set to hit theatres across the state Friday, promising a perfect blend of suspense, emotion, romance, and social drama for movie lovers. Bara Badhu brings a socially relevant yet entertaining narrative to the big screen.
Directed by Beeswaranjan, the multi-starrer thoughtfully explores the intersection of marriage and employment in contemporary society. The film promises a refreshing storyline that weaves together personal relationships, social expectations, and career aspirations. The main cast of the movie includes Sivani Sangita, Sailendra Samantaray, Suryamayee Mohapatra, Hara Rath, Subhasis Sharma, Jayshree Sarangi, and Bhaswati Basu. Each character reflects different dimensions of relationships and societal pressures — particularly those surrounding marriage and livelihood. Produced under the banner of The Useful Garbage Creations in association with Country Boyz Studios and Sharpline Film Pvt. Ltd., Bara Badhu is presented by Chandra Mani and will be released by Prakash Films. Chandra Mani serves as producer, with Beeswaranjan and Sushil Kumar Mishra as co-producers. In contrast, directed by Peenakee Singh and Sisir Kumar Sahu, Rakta Golapa is a gripping murder mystery that delves deep into the emotional journey of a woman whose life takes a devastating turn.

Produced by Aesthetic Films in association with P.S Motion Pictures, the film centres on a powerful performance by Elina Samantaray. Elina plays a woman whose husband, a forest officer portrayed by Abhishek Giri, mysteriously goes missing. However, his disappearance is anything but ordinary. The visuals and trailer hint at dark secrets, raising chilling questions — was it a murder, a carefully laid trap, or a truth too terrifying to reveal? Choudhury Jayaprakash Das, Samaresh Routray, Hara Rath, and Udit Guru play other key roles.. Ashrujeet Mahapatra and Shovan Das have produced the project. Both films carry heightened expectations as Valentine’s week releases.
